Hello all,I have Windows 7 home on a Shuttle XS35 V4 machine.I recently bought a Logitech C170 webcam. Automatic USB installing took 2-3 minutes, and eventually the microphone part was not recognized. There is now a yellow exclamation point in Control Panel/System. The 'cam' is working, not the 'mike' part.I tried the camera on a different windows 7 machine: in 4 seconds flat everything was up-and-running!Therefore, Logitech support says it is not their 'fault' and that I should contact Windows support.I disinstalled and reinstalled the webcam more than 10 times, everytime with reboot.I downladed the latest drivers (and software) from Logitech website. Nothing really helped.Honestly I do not know what to do. Can you help me?ThanksEdoardo.

Hello Mayank, first of all, thanks for all your help.I tried Methods 1, 2 and 3 with no success.
Always the same result - problem in (re)installing. The only promising path seems to be the Windows Update: it came up that I had de-activated it.So I begun letting WU search for updates, and one 'important' update popped up:'Logitech - Communication Device, Other hardware, Streaming Media and Broadcast - Webcam C170'which maybe could be part of the issue.Unfortunately Windows Update could not install it: I managed to install several other non critical updates, but not the 'Logitech' one. I got error 80070002 instead.Following some Windows pages, I tried also what follows:- to run the Microsoft fix tool- to deactivate Antivirus, deactivate Windows Update, clean Download and Datastore files in C:WindowsSoftwareDistribution, then reactivate Windows Update, do a clean boot, restart Windows Update- to install all other updates and try againEverytime, I get the same error: 80070002.after three hours, I have no more energy. Do you have any suggestion?
